Management of the HIV/hepatitis-coinfected patient requires a multidisciplinary approach tailored to the treatment needs of HIV, hepatitis infection, or both and the potential ability of the patient to adhere to and tolerate treatment.

These educational mini modules will describe the epidemiology and significance of liver disease and hepatitis in HIV, explain the impact of ART on liver disease, and discuss current approaches to treating HCV and HBV infection in patients with HIV disease.
