Pulmonary Hypertension for Urgent Care / Emergency Providers
Certified CME/CNE/CPE Activity – Mini Modules
Research shows that there is as much as a 2-year median lag between the time patients present with symptoms associated with PAH and a definitive diagnosis through right-heart catheterization. Millions of patients are seen annually in emergency and urgent care settings, often as their single point of contact with the US healthcare system.

These educational mini modules will outline the hallmarks of various forms of pulmonary hypertension, including PAH, in the hopes of triggering earlier referral for specific screening and diagnostic testing. In addition, recommendations for dealing with the already diagnosed PAH patient who presents for emergent/urgent care will be discussed.
Review one (or all) Mini Modules of interest. Claim AMA, ANCC, or ACPE credit/contact hour(s) per module after completion of each brief Post-Test/Evaluation.
