TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed for healthcare providers who are involved in the diagnosis and clinical care of patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Including physicians, physician associates, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this enduring material, participants should be able to:
- Recognize the epidemiology, clinical presentation, and diagnostic challenges of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), including the role of allied healthcare professionals in early identification and care coordination.
- Evaluate current treatment options and the limitations of conventional therapies and assess the clinical role and mechanism of action of Cardiac Myosin Inhibitors (CMIs) as a targeted therapeutic strategy.
- Apply a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach to long-term HCM management, incorporating risk stratification, genetic counselling, and future therapy considerations targeting sarcomere dysfunction.
