This AMA/ANCC/ACPE activity features a recorded discussion among three experts and is designed to keep healthcare professionals on top of the most recent clinical findings in PAH.

The first edition will feature Dr. Ronald Oudiz, Dr. Murali Chakinala and Dr. Harrison Farber discussing updates on COVID-19 & PAH and recent treatment strategies of PAH and emerging research for 2021.

Activity Summary:
Conversations in PAH are accredited, on-demand video presentations that feature PAH experts discussing hot topics, recent clinical updates, conference updates and treatment options for managing patients with PAH. This activity is designed to keep healthcare professionals on top of the most recent clinical findings in PAH. A new video series will be released every quarter throughout 2021.

Activity Summary:
In the past decade, it has become increasingly clear that women and men with stable ischemic heart disease often present with different signs and symptoms. Some of these differences can reflect gender-based differences in disease pathophysiology and risks for clinical cardiovascular events, as well as the need for different diagnostic methods and treatment strategies.

These educational Mini Modules will outline the epidemiologic trends as well as the health and economic burden of SIHD in women. In addition, discussion will include gender-specific pathophysiologic factors in SIHD, diagnostic approaches, risk stratification, and management approaches in women with stable ischemic heart disease.

Activity Summary:
Reducing the risk of death and major cardiovascular events are major goals of therapy for people with stable ischemic heart disease. Many management decisions hinge on a patient’s risk for these events, and recent and ongoing trials are helping to clarify treatment decisions in patients in different risk categories.

These educational Mini Modules will outline the role of medical therapies and revascularization when the goal of therapy is to reduce cardiovascular events and improve survival.

Major goals of therapy for people with stable ischemic heart disease (SIHD) include reducing angina symptoms and improving functional ability and quality of life. Recent developments in the use of medical therapies and re-evaluations of older therapies have brought some important changes to the treatment of these patients. Application of the results of revascularization trials and current recommendations requires careful and skillful risk stratification as well as a thorough understanding of the trial designs and results.

These educational Mini Modules will outline how recent developments and clinical trials influence the management of symptoms and functional limitations in real-world patients with stable ischemic heart disease.
